TRIP WEST

Just back from my voyage d'ouest to visit daughters Klay and Holly......Klay  and husband Richard live in Spokane and Holly in Seattle.....You know! the place where FRASIER  used to live???Holly and boyfriend Nick came over to see PAPA and the lovely " Marsha"better known as Helen and one day we all went out to the Pumpkin patch .....There i witnessed the great Pumpkin launcher..Truly an awesome sight!!!!We should have one on PEI for launching potatoes.......For pictures of our day check out Klay's blog linked to this page.We also visited Helen's sister Marilyn and husband Stan in Pendicton.......Now, thats a booming place.....Stan's quite the hunter and the house is filled with moosehead  trophies. And i told him i had a lot of mooseheads at my house too!!...One night i got up to go to the bathroom and almost peed my pants when i ran into a stuffed Couger....Actually it was hanging on the wall!!!!Then we headed for beautiful HARRISON HOT SPRINGS.......where our dutch friends hang out....We had a great trip  to the Maggies with Karen and Brum two summers ago ....Brum is a great storyteller and next time i,m bringing a tape recorder ....We went to a Western Junior hockey game between Kamloops and Chillawack.......I played colourman for him and he explained the workings of the Zamboni for me.....I got into trouble for drinking beer in the family section',but as usual i claimed i was from newfoundland............ .Just kidding!!!       Karen also got  a laugh out of a hockey dressing room expression i used " Who did you plank last night hotshot"???... And now for the BOWRY BOYS TIP OF THE DAY....attention HOMER....

If you fart for 6 years and 9 months you create enough gas to make an ATOMIC BOMB!!!!..
