We had a great time on sunday playing in the TREDENICK CLASSIC.........GOLF EXTRAVAGANZA. Cousin Craig Tredenick ,son of Ernie and Coleen "Hennessey"Tredenick ,brought home his beautiful fiance Malissa ,her parents  and brother........So we had a good excuse for another family reunion....Ernie sprang for the Golf but his largesse didn,t include the golf carts!!!! Cousin Shane "HOMER" was caught cheating on the 5th hole when he attempted to take a 6 after hitting his ball so far into the rough Lassie couldn,t find it ,if it was wrapped in bacon!!!!His scoring goes 1, and another 1 and another 1 ........2!!!!......Craig won but was disqualified for taking a gimmy on a 6 ft putt after he missed it!!!!!Cousin Mike and he ended tied .....both declared themselves winners??????.....Cousin Andy"BARNEY" is still trying to find his Callaway range ball he stole at the Legends Golf event in Dunderave last week ......The Pres is still missing ......anyone seeing this man around Ch,town should call the Bowrey boys help line...555-1212 or Homer,s cell 111-2234

   Got the play by play of John "Motown"Johnny Blanchard,s  baseball trip to Toronto.to watch the Blue Jays take on the Detroit Tigers.........Motown is a big fan of the RED WINGS AND THE TIGERS.........Word is he has a blow up doll of GORDIE HOWE that he plays cards with every night........Unfortunately, the doll loses air and usually Folds early!!!Highlight of his trip was visiting the HOCKEY HALL OF FAME.......He was there for 4 hours and they finally had to kick him out when he tried to borrow the Stanley Cup replica!!!

Some concern was expressed over the picture of  Cousin Shane "HOMER" that i posted on the eulogy to Roger.......The picture was actually taken when he gave his SPUDIN for daughter Klay and husband Richard last summer........He did a great job there too!!!! So , i found this cartoon i did of Shane and his BIG BUDDY BRIAN MULRONY a few years ago.......Hope you like it!!!

Excerpts from the Eulogy to Roger presented by  Shane "HOMER" Hennessey

One of Rogers only complaints was why us IRISHMEN always had to have the final word. And so my little Acadian friend for the last time this Irishman is going to get the FINAL WORD!

I stand here today on behalf of Roger,s family and friends in mourning, to celebrate Rogers life today is our chance to say thank you for the way Roger brightened our lives.

We are left with the joyful humour he shared and the sure and clear assurance that as this day goed on  and for many more days to follow there will  be lots of Roger stories told and he will be remembered fondly by all.

And so you ask ,what drew people to Rog.?.....The answer ,of course, is very simple.Roger was genuine and real.Everything was right from the heart,a loveable character who did nothing halfway.

To the Vets who Roger served directly mostly on overseas pilgrimages, you could always count on him for anything they needed. A wheelchair ,support and encouragement ,a hand with baggage, beautiful  photos, a mischievous smile that brightened their down moments....

The coffee group was everyday of the work week and we continued to add to the group.....Jim Doyle "the Pres",Gil "father"Collins,Andy, "Barney" Hennessey ,Ev "tough cop"Toombs and Rogers favorite target "The Coach" Even though the coach has been quite successful Roger felt he needed advice on a regular basis on Hockey ,as well as Women and Home renovations......Roger was therefore recognized in the Coach,s Blog on a regular basis as "ROGER THE RUNT"....That ,of course, spurred on more advice on even more subjects that Rog ,in private, admitted he knew nothing about!

Well, well ,well.....I finally figured out how to post another blog on the newsystem.....So if daughter Klay gets this she can ignore my request for help! And everyone ....Tia and I , are excited about the Stanley cup finals ,which start tonite....Edmonton, of course , is our choice........Kenny Lowe, my former trainor at Concordia is head guy with the OILERS and brother Kev is the GM......Too bad that BUFFALO got knocked out because former Con U and Loyola Stars Jim Corsi and Larry Carriere ,along with friend Kev DEVINE are all with that organization.....Couldn,t make it to Kingston for the Concordia Golf  extravaganza.....Bill Patterson sends along greetings and mentioned some of the guys that attended......Mike Walker was inducted into the WALL OF FAME......My buddy Roger Gallant ,who found out about 1 year ago that he had cancer died last week.......He was an intragal member of our Tim,s team and a great kidder ........His funeral in Rustico was full and cousin Shane "HOMER"gave a terrific eulogy at the end of the Mass.....I,ll put some of his speech on this blog in the next little while......Meantime, this wkend the Lovely Helen"MARSHA" and i attended the Silver Fox curling club RV DRAW and dinner.......The grand prize is a truck and rv worth about 80,000 bucks......They sell 555 tickets.......Well just for luck i drew a picture of Roger on the back of the number sheet......I figured the little guy might want to help us out..........and it worked!!!!! We were in the last 10 numbers selected......Up on the stage all fired up .......If we could last until the final 5 we would be able to sell our ticket for 10,000.....Guess what! Roger is up there laughing!!!! He got us so close.....but pulled the plug at 549....2 away from the 10,000....Just getting back at me for "THE TIE INCIDENT" When i ignored him at a hockey game!!!!Ok Rog .....You got me !!!!!Hope you,re happy now!!!We did win a bike which Helen can ride this summer .....
