Father Gil has returned from Florida and the" BOWRY BOYS "are back in action.......We expect Pres Jim back next week because it looks like his French has improved enough for him to pass the test.....Ques #1 La plume de ma tante est sur la table????QUI !Also his wife got a look at Bridget the instructor!!!! And after a great week at the NATIONAL SENIORS CURLING CHAMPIONSHIPS i,m all curled out!!! Not really .,it was a great show and i met some very nice people......saw some outstanding curling and learned a lot........Did you know that all the stones come from Scotland?And this wkend the CBC will present the mini series of the 72 CANADA -RUSSIA SHOWDOWN.......It,ll be interesting to see and compare to my personal recollections of the series.......One story i recall was when the team was in their hotel in Moscow.......Frank MAHOVLICH whose parents fled eastern europe and his roomie PHIL ESPOSITO thought they were being bugged. They found a lump in the carpet  lifted the carpet and saw what they thought was a hearing device in the floor......They unscrewed the top and heard a loud crash below.......They had loosened the attachment for the CHANDELIER  IN THE BALLROOM .......Lucky it was 2am and noone was in the room at that time!!!!!And when i had the opportunity to go to Moscow and study at the Moscow institute of sport in 74...Whenever the Russians found out you were Canadian they shouted "ESPOSITO, ESPOSITO "! In there minds he was the star of the series.....I,ll say a few things about that trip after i see the show on sunday......JUST REMEMBER.......... "LIFE IS TOO IMPORTANT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY"
