The Cornwall Thunder won a big game on fri.........Did you know??Guess it didn,t make TSN but it sure felt good.......We are definately getting better but will we have enough time to be ready to win in the playoffs? That,s the question........We had a callup goaltender in the nets and KEVIN McKay did a great job for the team......Sat ......   we went to St John and it didn,t work out as well.......Jeremy our #1 goaltender started and we played 2 good periods against ST JOHN ,The #1 team in the league.......They played it rough and the ref was calling HUDSON BAY RULES.......It was 2-2 at the end of the 2nd but one of our ,so called tough guys played dumb and dumber and took a 4 min pen at the end of the 2nd........They scored 3 goals on the PP and put us back on our heels.....Now, it,s time for a reality check and the boys will hear tomorrow that dumb penalties will not be tolerated.....We have 3 games remaining before the playoffs and several players will be sitting out coaches suspensions until i can trust them to play "smart tough".......Thankfully the game scheduled for Sun was cancelled because of the impending STORM!!!!And Tia and i are waiting for the latest storm.......Tia is out now checking it out.......I hear her at the door! But ,i think she needs to stay out a little longer until it really gets bad! Oh and Homer did the video on fri for me..........Great job except for all the video of the mothers.....I didn,t need that!!!SHAME SHAME SHAME!!!!And you thought the muslims were upset lately........but did you hear about the six gay penquins at a german zoo???? Apparently they are refusing to mate with some floozies flown in from Sweden.....They prefer the company of other males.....The zoo,s attempts to "turn "the penquins has prompted a furious response from gay rights groups!!!!!As my sainted mother used to say" heavens to murgatroid!!!!

On feb 15th the not so mighty Italian Olympic team will play CANADA ....and i,ll be anxious to see how they fare......I,m hoping they do well because the team includes 8 players that i had previously coached in the Italian league....TOPATIGH,NARDELLA,MUZZATTI,HELFER,CHITERRONI,BUSILLO,PARCO AND CIRONE.....And it,s shocking to hear the comments by Homer and the Tim,s crew.......regarding the lack of representation for PEI in the federal government.........Pretty funny since PEI elected 4 liberals.....I think we,ll be well taken care of by his honor Peter Mckay .....because he won,t have a lot of time to spend and he,ll ,no doubt, listen to his BIG BUDDIES here on the Island.......Pat BINNS ....kevin Macadam and HOMER!!!!!!And my feelings on checking in hockey are......Don,t let the kids check before Midget.......Better to develop skills like passing ,shooting and stickhandling......One of the reasons the europeans usually are better skilled then our guys......As one person put it ...."You don,t teach a kid to swim in a pool full of sharks"...And ,if you watched the SUPERBOWL you saw the refs shaft Seattle...........I think HOMER, BARNEY and Fat Carl could have done better.......And who was the genius that decided that the TRAILER PARK BOYS should host the ECMA,S here this month?This is supposed to be a Class event..........No!!!!!.

Yes, We did get a little storm....but Tia was not that impressed......We didn,t get storm stayed in stanhope....The BAJA had no problem getting into ch,town.........And it was gone before you could say "Bob.s your uncle"....Finally got my christmas package from daughter Holly....A little late but very nice anyway........Lunch with the DVA crowd....Waiting for cousin Shane..."a big conservative" to get his new appointment as BIG MAN on campus????But ,it seems he,s a little upset at the appointments made by Harper!!!!Imagine ....putting someone in Montreal ahead of interests on PEI!!!! And daughter Klay has a birthday coming up in Spokane Wash.........And Valentines day is just around the corner..!!!! Latest research on superfoods include blueberries, spinich,beans and pumpkin......The vet told me to feed pumpkin to Tia to help prevent her anal glans from getting plugged.......And the olympic hockey tourney is about to begin........The Canadians play Italy on the 15th and i,ll be watching since many of the Italian players played for me in the Italian league.....The Cornwall thunder have a busy weekend with 3 games ......We are playing better hockey but haven,t managed to win many games.....We,re hoping to play well this wkend to be ready for the playoffs. starting in march...
