Too bad, but the early returns point to a resounding NO for the new system of proportional representation on the ISLAND.......The old system is not perfect and ,i think,most islanders would go for a new system but this system wasn,t the answer.........Most people didn,t understand it and it was difficult to find people that could explain it.......Except ,of course, HOMER, Brian Mulroney,s dummy.......He explained the whole thing to the boys at Tim,s this week.....Most everyone fell asleep but Jen ,our favorite waitress said she understood it ......She asked Homer which way he was voting so she could vote the opposite!!! The Ice Fox are still alive and they played before 400 fans on sat in summerside.....They outplayed Cape Breton but lost......Keep it up boys it,s great to see that kind of sticktoitofness on the Island.....I hope they will be rewarded for there efforts......And the Gray cup was a barnburner......Bill Ardell, one of my star players from the early Sir George teams watched it at my place.......He,s here on PEI trying to get the Government to implement his reading program into the school system......I,ve asked him to do a study of my idiot friends ......I f it can work with Homer ,Barney, Loved by the buffalo, or Fat Carl.......it would ,i,m sure be successful in the school system.....Homer, of course says he won a reading contest ,......but that was in his 3rd year in grade 6........Well ,got to go and prepare my practice for my desperate housewives tomorrow...ciao

Once again my fans are berating me at Tim,s for "writers cramp"!!!! Big Eddy was ragging on me this morning so i guess i had better get to it!!! It,s surprising to me that the other owners of the teams in the CEHL have not backed the Ice Fox franchise.. The St John owner who was to purchase the team pulled out ,so the players are trying to run it themselves............You would think that the other owners would want to protect their investments ......at least initially until another group could be found......It could payoff bigtime .....When i returned top PEI the franchise fee for a QUEBEC MAJOR JUNIOR TEAM was around 850,000.......Now it,s around 3.5 million......Now the cehl is better hockey........with the right promotion it could outdraw the Q.........Now the Ice Fox players are running the team......I hope the people in summerside appreciate them.......I think this is a first for PEI.......Now, believe it or not.......We had an intelligent conversation about the new PR system proposed for PEI at our round table discussion this morning......Homer ...our political expert says nomatter how you look at it the new system will result in a minority government.......That might be a good thing sometimes but "all the time"??? Problem ,i have is the 10 members out of 27 will not be elected........Our present system isn,t so great but i don,t think having 10 members picked by the parties would improve the situation.....As far as the Rustico Runt is concerned he,s ready to head back to Quebec where the politicians are all on drugs and only care if the Canadians win against Toronto!!!Homer missed the CBC show on "The secret tapes of his hero Brian Mulroney " I think he was mentioned one time when Mulroney called him" that dummy from the Island".....And now the Feds are dumping money all over the place to try to buy another election........Wish i could apply for compensation for the abuse i received at QUEEN SQUARE.SCHOOL....But ,i guess not being allowed to go to "THE PROTESTANT"YMCA.........really doesn,t qualify!!!!It was all "TOUGH LOVE"anyway  Ha Ha

Well the Ice Fox won both games on the wkend.......Looks like they won,t suffer from the loss of the OLD COACH....I wish them well and i know they have the talent to win the initial season of the CEHL.....MIKE WALKER , one of my favorite players ,was inducted into the Concordia sports WALL OF FAME by the hockey alumni recently......Mike was our captain for 3 championship seasons from 81 to 83....He is the only player in Concordia history to be MVP 3 YEARS IN A ROW.......And that when we had Nationally ranked teams.....Mike was a great leader and a coaches dream......He is the 15th leading scorer in the record books with 170 pts in 162 games.....And now for the latest from the Tim Horton,s Idiots.........Roger "the runt" has decided to become a ' pie face assassin " His 1st hit maybe his former boss at the Vet affairs......He,s not saying!!!!! But he recently phoned the Gillette company complaining about there FOAMY SHAVING CREAM..........Apparently the cream doesn,t have the sufficient adhesion to adhere to the face.....He wants a refund on the 150 cans he bought from Wes the Cat!!!! Who ,by the way is presently incarcerated in the provincial correctional institute...for the upteenth time.....And ,What a great idea........Homer and myself are excited about the recent development at an Irish nursing home.......They started their own pub!!!!Wow ,it,s looking better every day......Pour me a Guinness quick!!!!

And NOW............for the rest of the story.....The good news! The Ice Fox have been sold and a great bunch of hockey players will continue to play here on PEI........The ,not so good news!!! I have resigned as coach.........The team was bought by the owner of the St John Team........He decided that he needed an individual in summerside to be his GM......As i had indicated to him previously......I did not feel i could work with this individual.......Yesterday,just prior to practice the commisioner told me that this person was our new general manager.......So.......I decided to pull a Hank Snow.......and drift!!!!!!! It,s a big relief to have the stress removed and i,ll miss the coaching aspect.....I wasn,t able to do my best work because of the distractions off the ice but now i can concentrate on my painting career?????? ha...ha... I think my first oeuvre.d,art..... will be of Homer doing his best to make a fool of himself  with his SPUD-IN at daughter Klays party this summer.....

Well a great bunch of guys may be out of a job by tomorrow.....We learned last night at practice that the group from summerside who were interested in buying the Ice Fox have dropped out ......Apparently because they feel it would hinder the local junior team! If the league cannot find someone to buy the club or convince the city to partner with the other teams we are history.........6 games ,4 wins and 2 losses .......We have practice tomorrow and if we don,t hear any news i guess we,ll pack up our jocks for the season.......Well many of the guys will go back to Rec hockey leagues.......And ,what about the old coach???? I,ll continue to suffer the abuse of my ,so called friends at Tims and start looking for nude models to pose for my paintings......But what if i can,t find any guys to pose?????Ha Ha got you there!!!! No i think i,ll finish off a couple of paintings i started last year.....My Aunties on the deck and Homer doing his Spudin!!!And did you know that PEI is now known throughout the universe for having the largest eggbeater inthe world??? Millions of Chinese don,t know that yet!!!!Ciao for now my little croquet!!!
