Just received a nice letter from Ken Lowe, the trainor for the EDMONTON OILERS.........Ken was our trainor at Con U. and a member of the 1975/76 Stingers just inducted into the Hall of Fame......His story should be an inspiration to anyone who has suffered a dibilitating injury.....Kenny was a promising goalie on our Junior varsity team ....over the summer he was seriously injured at his family dairy when his head was crushed by one of the machines......We thought he was a goner but he survived and after a long stay in the hospital he was able to return to school......Since he was unable to play hockey he asked if he could help out so i made him our manager.......He was great and entered the physiotherepy program.......He became our key physio before becoming the trainor for the EDMONTON ESKIMOS.......From there it was an easy jump to the OILERS where he remains today as probably amongst the best in the NHL......For me ,it,s always a thrill when i see one of my guys do so well.......Congrats to Kenny on his induction into the Hall........And now ,on a more serious note......Had a chance to see ELVIS PRESLEY in Summerside on sat nite......A great show for 4 hours at the Silver Fox.......Some of the audiance were also a good show......Like the lady with the Elvis hairdo!!!!! I spoke to her at the end of the show and asked her down to Tim,s to meet the boys.......Don,t know what she said as she was fighting her way to the stage to get one of the white scarves that Elvis was handing out.....Last i saw of her she and this gray haired lady were playing tug of war over one!!
